Large Staffordshire Cow & Calf Spill Vase - c.1880

A charming addition to your Staffordshire collection. A sweet mother cow and her calf are set on a base. This could be a nice addition to your farmhouse decor. Whether it be English or French country feel that you are going for this piece would be a splendid addition.

This piece is in good antique condition. However, there are some condition issues to note. The blue underglaze is showing in some areas of the vase (pictured), the white glaze was not applied evenly. This is a manufacturing issue dating back to the late 1880s. There are some areas on the mother cows head that has some imperfections in the coloring. Staffordshire pieces are notorious for naive painting. There is a minor chip to the back bottom edge.

This piece measures 11 1/4" tall x 7 1/2" wide.
