Rare Pair of Staffordshire Copper Luster Standing Spaniels or Mantle Dogs - c.1850-1860

This charming pair of Staffordshire spaniels are rare and perfectly charming. Colored with a semi-translucent glaze and using a deep green color with a copper luster glaze overlay to achieve this wonderful result. They both have collars and a regal gaze.

This would make a spectacular addition to your Staffordshire dog collection. It would also make a great foundation pair if you were starting a collection.

They are in very good antique condition but there are a few condition issues to note. One the right spaniels hind back end there is a spot where the glaze did not adhere. There is also slight paint loss to the muzzles are both dogs. Either notes do not detract.

They measure 7" tall x 4.75" wide.
